Jonathan Hernandez for City Council 2012!
I am not a politician. I am a lifelong Bail Agent, Fugitive Recovery Agent, and Entrepenuer. I have over 6 years in the Investigative Field, it doesn't take a genius to figure out criminals don't follow the laws, we are putting too many limitations on ourselves as law abiding citizens, and that needs to change. The crime in this city is astronomical and we together need to do something about it. My own nieghbor was having his car repoed a while back and he thought we had told the repo man something about the car and after the repo man left the neighbor came over and pulled a gun on my son, wife and father in law threatening to kill them. This type of stuff is happening all over the city and it needs to stop. Together we will end this problem plaguing our city!
After serious cuts over the last year the Antioch Budget is now projected to be at a 2.5 million dollar deficit for fiscal year 2013-2014 and over 4 million dollars in debt for fiscal year 2014 - 2015, we have already cut to the bare bones we can't afford to cut anymore, we now need to begin creating revenue through the city, things such as Street Light Banner Advertisements, City Building, Street Lights, and Traffic Lights all going Solar, I also strongly support the passage the Parcel Tax in November it will add $12 - $20 to your current Parcel Tax and this money IS BONDED for POLICE SERVICES! This parcel tax will bring the police department an extra 5 million dollars a year to hire officers, and to conduct proactive enforcements across the city, so I encourage all my supporters to support this tax in the november election.
If I'm elected to City Council I'll make sure that we are creating revenue in the city to ensure that more officers are staffed, proactive enforcement is present, code enforcement is present to evict any squatters in the city limits, I will team up with local non - profit organizations such as YMCA and Boys and Girls Clubs of America to provide no cost recreation activities so the youth can stay away from gangs, violence, drugs, and other forms of trouble, I would propose we sell city owned property downtown to commercially develop and renovate the Downtown Area / Rivertown District, I want to work with the School Board to implement ways to ensure our kids don't get left behind in the classroom, and take inputs and suggestions from Antioch Residents.
I love this city and need your help to fight to bring it back to a family friendly place like it used to be, and together we will get it there, but I need your support to do that! I am supported by the honest hard working Antioch Residents who are tired of the crime, tired of the run around, and want a thriving family friendly city to live in. Solving Antioch's problems will require proven leadership and the ability to effect positive change on multiple levels. It won't be easy, but we must act now! We must act together!
I respectfully request your support!
